We could see a major transformation at the club this summer as Eddie Howe is given his first summer window to shape and mould the squad.
Of course, new ownership also brings the expectation that Newcastle will be busy in the market and explore a great amount of options to strengthen their team.
Naturally, with any arrivals must come departures as Newcastle have to initially balance their inflated squad for next season whilst also trying to keep one eye on the future.
And of course, there are plenty members of the current squad whose immediate future may be uncertain but who will all believe they are able to play a role in the club’s future.
Here, we take a look at five players Newcastle United should buy, five that they may offload, and five that they should do their utmost to try and keep hold of this summer:

9. KEEP - Fabian Schar
Schar’s renaissance under Eddie Howe means he is in-line for a contract extension and the defender’s performances have earned him this deal. He has been a rock at the back recently and is one of the Magpies’ most consistent performers. Photo: Stu Forster

10. BUY - Dean Henderson
Whilst Martin Dubravka has done very little wrong this season, adding Henderson to the ranks would be a real statement from Newcastle. Having two quality options in Henderson and Dubravka battling it out for the no.1 can only benefit the Magpies not just next season, but for the foreseeable future. Photo: Ash Donelon

11. SELL - Matt Ritchie
Ritchie has been another fantastic servant for the club since joining in 2016 but injury problems this season have seen him miss a fair portion of the campaign. There will probably be a fair amount of interest in Ritchie and so the club could look to act on that when the window opens. Photo: Naomi Baker

12. KEEP - Matt Targett
If there is an option to keep Targett at the club after his loan from Aston Villa expires, then it is surely a no-brainer for Newcastle to act on that. Target’s consistency has been a great addition to the back-line and is more likely to get regular game time at St James’s Park than at Villa Park. Photo: Stu Forster
