Steve Bruce has made just the one change to the Newcastle United starting XI from the Manchester City loss, with Liverpool at St James’s Park this evening.
Here’s what #NUFC Twitter have made of the news…
@d3anie16 – “With Matty Longstaff and Hayden in midfield, a weakened Liverpool defence. Maybe nick a point.”
@StevenE01103369 – “Lose heavily, play terrible and then be told by pundits that we expect to much and that Steve Bruce is a fantastic manager doing a fantastic. Rinse and repeat after every game.”
@Geordiejuice – “5 at the back has never worked under Bruce. Why does he keep going to it? It’s literally damage limitation.”
@JDslippers – “Can we not play Darlow AND Dubravka?”
@AndyNUFC78 – “Sit deep, wait for the fullbacks to get forward and then hit them down the flanks. Get as many crosses in as they can and test those Liverpool centre backs.”
