Rose joined Newcastle United on loan from Tottenham Hotspur in January, and the defender has conceded that his “days are numbered” at his parent club.
And the 30-year-old, out of contract next summer, is keen to stay at St James’s Park.

Hide AdSpeaking in United’s digital matchday programme ahead of this afternoon’s Premier League home game against West Ham United, Rose said: “First and foremost, I’m playing for my future. I don’t think I need a bigger motivation than that.


“I’ve settled in very well. I love the lads and members of staff. I’m staying in a hotel, and, honestly, you wouldn’t believe the things that I have to say about how the hotel have treated me throughout all this.
“The lengths they’ve gone to, honestly – it’ been very surreal how nice people have been. They’ve tried everything to make sure my stay as been as smooth as possible.”
Jose Mourinho froze Rose out at Tottenham, and the England international added: “For me, I’d love to play for Newcastle for longer than what’s on my contract
