That’s the biggest talking point from the Newcastle United starting XI Steve Bruce has named to face Arsenal – and it is indeed the only change.

Give Joelinton credit, we’ve witnessed a much-improved performer in recent weeks – he may perhaps feel a little unlucky to be dropped – but Wilson is different gravy altogether.

Pace. Power. Prolific. Wilson can cause all sorts of problems for that usually suspect Arsenal backline.

Allan Saint-Maximin has rightly been lauded for his performances over the last few weeks but let’s not forget the impact Wilson has on this side.

And isn’t it exciting to see the pair line up together?

There might have been a case to bring Fabian Schar back into the fold – certainly Ciaran Clark and Paul Dummett’s levels have dipped over the last few weeks.

That said, Bruce’s reluctance to start Schar is understandable. It also wouldn’t be a surprise if those two have solid games today.
