The Premier League returns next weekend and Newcastle United face a tough test against Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.
The Magpies were defeated by Bournemouth last weekend and will be without a host of key players when the Blues make the trip to the north east.
Despite all of this, there is hope that Eddie Howe’s side can repeat the performance that saw them defeat Arsenal at the beginning of the month, despite all of these injury and selection worries.
Here, we take a look at what team Howe could name for the clash against Chelsea next weekend:

5. LB: Kieran Trippier
Trippier has been unplayable at times this season, leading from the back as well as chipping in with seven assists in all competitions. He will be heavily-relied upon to help lead the side over the next few weeks or so. | Getty Images

6. CM: Lewis Miley

7. CM: Bruno Guimaraes
Guimaraes missed last weekend’s defeat and his absence was felt in midfield. Hopefully the Brazilian is fit and ready to go after an indifferent international break spent with the Brazilian national team. | AFP via Getty Images

8. CM: Joelinton
Joelinton keeps his place in the side after a frustrating international break with Brazil in which he played nine minutes and was sent off. | Getty Images
