Newcastle United head to the City Ground having won back-to-back games and ended a run of five without a win in the Premier League with victory over Arsenal last weekend. Alexander Isak’s early strike was enough for Howe’s side to defeat the Gunners and set up a tantalising clash with Forest this weekend.
The hosts currently sit third in the Premier League table and have won three matches in a row - the first time they have done that in the top-flight since 1998. Elliot Anderson and Chris Wood will be keen to impress against their former employers in a match that always provides fireworks.
The two sides have already met this season, with Newcastle overcoming Forest on penalties at the City Ground back in August. An early Joe Willock goal was cancelled out by a strike from Jota Silva in that match with Sean Longstaff netting the crucial penalty in the shootout for Howe’s side.
Here, we take a look at the Newcastle United starting XI that Howe could name for his side’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest on Sunday (2pm kick-off). Would you like to see Howe name this team? Follow us on our social media channels and let us know your thoughts there:

1. Nick Pope - 7
Will feel particularly aggrieved given he thought he'd won a goal kick just before the goal. Made a good stop with his leg to deny Nicolas Dominguez. | Getty Images

2. Tino Livramento - 7
Got forward well but lacked the final ball into the box. Took a whack to his mouth early on but showed good energy throughout. | Getty Images

3. Fabian Schar - 7
A wayward pass ultimately built up to Forest's opener from the following attack. Tried to push forward and help Newcastle create something. Was solid and didn't put a foot wrong in the second half. | Getty Images

4. Dan Burn - 6
Booked for a tactical foul stopping Morgan Gibbs-White from breaking away. Will miss the West Ham United match as a result. Forced a save from Sels and made a couple of good defensive clearances. | Getty Images
