The clash on Sunday will be the first time Eddie Howe has faced Erik Ten Hag in what promises to be an interesting tactical battle between two of the league’s in-form sides.
After a slow start to the season, that included a 4-0 humiliation against Brentford, Manchester United have found their groove and, barring a defeat against their city rivals, have won five of their last six games in the division.
Similarly, Newcastle have also hit form having scored nine goals in their last two outings and head to Old Trafford full of confidence they can end their terrible record at the ‘Theatre of Dreams’.
Here we take a look at the starting XI that Erik Ten Hag could pick to face Newcastle United on Sunday.

Following a shaky start to his Premier League career, Martinez has adapted well to English football and is an important part to the way Ten Hag wants his side to play. Photo: Clive Brunskill
