Ex-Newcastle United defender's son set for non-league chance with Hartlepool United

Former Newcastle United hero Nikos Dabizas’ son could be set for a deal with National League club Hartlepool United.

According to our sister paper, the Hartlepool Mail, Konstantinos Dabizas is currently training with Dave Challinor’s side in a bid to earn a permanent contract at Victoria Park.

Dabizas Jnr is currently on the books of Newcastle Benfield having previously been at National League North Gateshead.

His father played for Newcastle between 1998-2003 and won more than 70 caps for Greece.
