Federico Fernandez set to give injury-hit Steve Bruce a big lift

Fernandez returned to full training yesterday ahead of Newcastle United s visit to The Hawthorns.

The defender has been sidelined since the club’s January 12 defeat to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

Fernandez, out of contract in the summer, had suffered a muscle injury after returning from a spell out with Covid-19.

Meanwhile, Javier Manquillo is back in light training after recovering from an ankle injury.
