"I’m just trying to give my best for the team, whether that is for 10 or 15 minutes.
“I am happy to help the team again. We pushed hard, and we are growing in confidence. Throughout the game we were pushing and we did not lose confidence.”

Willock, who will miss United’s next game against parent club Arsenal, continued: “I’m really enjoying my football at Newcastle.

Asked if United are now safe, Willock said: “Hopefully. It was more of a performance – we need to keep up.”
