Graham Potter addresses 'off-the-pitch noise' at Newcastle United

Graham Potter has hailed Steve Bruce for the “amazing job” he’s done at Newcastle United ahead of this evening’s game at the Amex Stadium.

Bruce’s side is 13th in the Premier League table, and safe from relegation, ahead of the behind-closed-doors game.

And Brighton manager Potter has spoken about Bruce’s first season as head coach at the club.

“I think he's done an amazing job when you consider the bit of negativity that surrounded it to start with, and then a lot of off-the-pitch noise, shall we say, that doesn't help,” said Potter.

"But, in terms of results, he's clear of anything, assembled a team with some real attacking threats. They're defensively organised. So I think he's done a great job – a really, really experienced guy. Top football person, whenever I come across his teams, I respect the teams a lot. So I think he's done really well.”
