The Premier League is considering a proposed £300million takeover of the club which is 80% funded by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.
Keys, a TV presenter with beIN Sports, opposes the deal because of the illegal streaming of Premier League games in Saudi Arabia, which is locked into a geopolitical conflict with Qatar, where his employer is based.

Keys said on The Keys & Gray Show: “I thought at the start of the week it might go through, but it hasn’t. The exclusivity has lapsed. There’s another bid on the table – Henry Mauriss. I’m not sure anymore whether this deal’s going to get done. Mauriss has plenty of money. He would be the perfect replacement for a Saudi bid.”
