It has been a memorable campaign for Eddie Howe’s side, whose Premier League safety was confirmed on Wednesday evening following Leeds United’s 3-0 defeat at home to Chelsea.
The Magpies are now looking to end their campaign on a high at St James’s Park, but they remain without some key players.
Callum Wilson and Kieran Trippier are now pushing to start following their return from injury off the bench in last Sunday’s 5-0 defeat at Manchester City.
But injury blows to the likes of Jonjo Shelvey, Joe Willock and Ryan Fraser has hit Howe with some selection dilemmas for the final couple of matches.

5. Isaac Hayden - knee
The midfielder hasn’t featured since December following a serious knee injury. He has recently returned to full training but cannot feature as he is not included in Newcastle’s 25 man squad. Expected return: Pre-season
Another player who hasn’t featured since December and has had his season blighted by injury. Lewis has had a few operations to try and fix a long standing groin problem. He has trained but isn’t in the squad. Expected return: Pre-season.
Although not an injury, Anderson’s successful loan spell at Bristol Rovers prompted calls for him to be included in Newcastle’s matchday squad for the final two games of the season.
