Hide Ad“When you don’t play, of course there’s speculation, like transfer rumours and all kinds,” said the 30-year-old. “I don’t blame anyone, because I haven’t performed well. But I was very happy when I was playing in front of the fans and supporters. If I go somewhere else, I’m still proud of Newcastle – it’s a big club for me, and I really enjoy playing in front of a lot of passion.
“We have to see what’s going to happen, but I’m still proud of all the fans and the club.”
