Two home games against Norwich City and Oxford United in two weeks and Newcastle United have failed to score – despite the transfer window and takeover talk, it's been a forgettable eight days for the Magpies.

They might not have scored but was it a positive performance from United? Our man Liam Kennedy assesses each player, including Newcastle United’s THREE Premier League debutants. And it's fair to say very few come out of the St James’s Park clash with positive marks.
