Liam Kennedy's Newcastle United team to face West Brom – with a number of SHOCK Magpies choices
United could stretch the gap to the bottom three with a win – and with pressure building this week due to off-field and training ground tensions, the Magpies could do with some positive on-field news.
But who starts in place of Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron? Here’s our writer Liam Kennedy’s NUFC XI.

1. Martin Dubravka
Yes, he made a mistake last week but is still the best keeper at the football club, plain and simple. Photo: Stu Forster

2. Isaac Hayden
Right back is a massive problem. And I love Hayden as a midfielder. But needs must. He's a proper defender. Photo: Pool

3. Jamaal Lascelles
Best game of the season against Wolves, and that was even without the goal. He stays in the team, even if Fede Fernandez is fit. Photo: Stu Forster

4. Ciaran Clark
The Irishman is Mr Reliable for United and should retain his place alongside skipper Lascelles. Could do with some extra defensive support outside of him - but we will come to that next. Photo: ADRIAN DENNIS
