The club’s December 28 home game against Everton has sold out – after the club gave away 10,000 half-season tickets.

Steve Bruce called on the club to do more for hard-up fans after just 42,303 watched the club’s last home game. United’s head coach said: “It’s difficult for people to afford to come to the matches, so maybe there’s something we can do as a club to try to get the numbers up.”
