Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, backed by Amanda Staveley and David and Simon Reuben, last week pulled out of a £300million deal over the Premier League’s failure to make a timely decision on approval.
The Premier League has made no comment on the process, and Lewell-Buck has written to chief executive Richard Masters to “ask for answers and greater transparency”.
Lewell-Buck tweeted: “I’ve received 100s of emails from constituents & @NUFC fans who have expressed concern over the @premierleague’s handling of the failed takeover process. Today I’ve written to the League’s Chief Executive to ask for answers and greater transparency.”
