Newcastle United announce several academy departures and which prospects have been offered new deals

Newcastle United have announced which academy players will be offered new deals for the 2021/22 season – while several youngsters are set to leave St James’ Park this summer.

Under-23 players Mo Sangare, Adam Wilson, Ryan Barrett, Will Brown and Oisin McEntee have all been offered contract extensions, as have several members of Neil Winskill's under-18 squad following their run to the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals.

Striker Dylan Stephenson, 18, and midfielder Lucas De Bolle, 18, are among the youngsters who will be kept on by the Magpies, along with Josh Scott, Nathan Carlyon and Joe Oliver who have also impressed at academy level.

It’s also been announced that 22-year-old defender Owen Bailey will leave the club this summer after coming through the ranks at his hometown club.

Under-23s players Oliver Walters, Tom Midgley, Jude Swailes, Yannick Toure, Oliver Marshall, Ludwig Francillette, Florent Indalecio, Kyle Scott, George Rounsfell, Lucas Gamblin, Josh Gilchrist, Lewis Brannen, Josh Harrison and Tai Ebanks will also depart.
