Newcastle United chase youngster with £17.5m release clause as Steve Bruce blocks Derby County-linked player exit

The Magpies and their Premier League rivals have until 11pm on Monday, February 1, to finalise any potential incomings and outgoings ahead of the second half of the season.

And while the rumours keep on mounting, Steve Bruce is indeed making a move in the winter market.

United are understood to have agreed the framework of a deal, in principle, to sign Manchester United and defender Brandon Williams.
