Newcastle United 'close' player recruitment and scouting department
Newcastle United’s player recruitment department has been closed “until further notice” because of the coronavirus pandemic, according to a report.
The club this week used a Government scheme to furlough staff during the Premier League shutdown.
And head of recruitment Steve Nickson has sent a text message to his contacts revealing that his department has temporarily closed, according to the Daily Mail.
Nickson has already drawn up lists of targets ahead of the summer transfer window.
