All 20 Premier League teams are set to meet today to thrash out their plans for the remainder of the 2019/20 season, with a number of potential solutions set to be discussed.

And according to The Athletic, one option that could be discussed is the possibility of playing fixtures overseas – with one club reportedly keen on taking games to China.

Their idea hinged on the fact that by taking games out of the country, there would be no extra strain placed on the country’s emergency services

However, it is understood that the majority of top flight sides would be against such a proposal, with a Premier League chief executive telling the Athletic that the idea would be ‘firmly rejected.’
