Newcastle United are even deeper in relegation trouble – without kicking a ball.
The club today dropped down to 17th place today following Brighton and Hove Albion’s 2-1 win over Southampton
Lewis Dunk and Leandro Trossard were on target for Graham Potter’s side.
Brighton moved up to 16th place ahead of next weekend’s meeting between the two clubs at the Amex Stadium.
United, with just two wins from 19 games in all competitions, drew 1-1 with Aston Villa on Friday night.
