Newcastle United defender reveals where he wants to play next season

The Newcastle United defender, on loan at Serie B club Cosenza, is in the final year of his contract.

Speaking to tuttomercatoweb.com, Lazaar said: “I don't know where fate will take me. I really believe in God. I hope to be in Serie A – the Italian championship is my home. Today, however, the present matters. Because it is the present that allows you to build the future.”

Italy has been in lockdown for more than three weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic. Lazaar said: “I’m following the rules of the state to protect me, my family and others.”
