Newcastle United drop crucial defender fitness hint ahead of Wolves Premier League clash

Newcastle United have hinted injured defender Javier Manquillo could be nearing a first-team return.

The Spanish full-back was pictured with emojis of his national flag as well as “Back” and “Soon” in a post on Newcastle United’s official Twitter account. The images also appeared to show Manquillo out on the pitches of the club’s Benton training base.

It remains to be seen whether the right-back will return for the visit of Wolverhampton Wanderers to St James’ Park this weekend, with Emil Krafth again likely to deputise.
