Newcastle United have dropped a major selection hint as injured striker Andy Carroll is pictured BACK in training.

Images posted to the club website here show former England, Liverpool and West Ham United frontman Carroll back with the United first-team, after a rib injury/hip problem saw him sit out the weekend draw with Manchester City.

Carroll is pictured taking part in practice drills, jogging and standing next to manager Steve Bruce is one image.

United travel to Sheffield United on Thursday evening.
