Newcastle United, along with the likes of Everton, Norwich City and Schalke, have all scouted the player in recent months, as per reports.

But according to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils have jumped to the front of the queue when it comes to signing the 20-year-old central defender.

They report Manchester United have the “inside track” due to Juan Mata’s father representing the Ghanaian player.
