Newcastle United fan group make Mike Ashley exit pledge amid takeover talk

Following the exit of Rafa Benitez in the summer of 2019, Newcastle United fan group Wor Flags decided to halt their eye-catching displays.
But now, with the end of Mike Ashley’s 13-year tenure edging closer, they’ve vowed to return to St James’s Park should a takeover be completed. Well, when the coronavirus safely allows them to do so.
When asked by a fan on Twitter whether they’d return, they said: “100%. The concern is when they’ll even let fans back in stadiums.”
