But now, with the end of Mike Ashley’s 13-year tenure edging closer, they’ve vowed to return to St James’s Park should a takeover be completed. Well, when the coronavirus safely allows them to do so.
When asked by a fan on Twitter whether they’d return, they said: “100%. The concern is when they’ll even let fans back in stadiums.”
