The manager made FIVE changes to the side beaten at Leeds United with Paul Dummett coming in for his first start since January and DeAndre Yedlin handed his first Premier League run from the off this season.

Here’s how #NUFC Twitter reacted to the surprise news...

@Jipenfold89 – “People wanted Lewis dropped, now he’s dropped they are questioning it?”

@JakeJackmann – “Good to see Dummett back. Although having two full backs making their first PL start in December is asking for trouble.”

@Joeeeeeee_96 – “Lovely to see Paul Dummett return like.”

@Geoff_NUFC – “Wonder what the odds are for Mitro to get a red?”

@nufcsanjay – “A really solid team. Great to see Dummett back, takes Lewis out of the firing line as well. Not a massive Yedlin fan but his pace is always a useful asset. Need to see an improvement from Sean Longstaff tonight.”

@steve0191 – “Yedlin & Dummett, never saw that one coming!!! But let’s keep the faith need to win this tonight.”

@Garwain – “Stop playing Joelinton as a forward when you’ve got a natural goal scorer on the bench. It’s not working, how can everyone bit Bruce see that.”

@j8hnj – “Personally I'd have liked to have seen Matty in for Sean for a bit more energy in midfield but hopefully Sean can make up for that dreadful performance midweek.”
