Newcastle United finalise pre-season fixtures with home friendly against Stoke City
Newcastle United today confirmed their final warm-up game ahead of the 2020/21 Premier League season, which kicks off on September 12.
Championship club Stoke City, managed by former United midfielder O’Neill, are providing the opposition for the behind-closed-doors game on Saturday, September 5 (3pm kick-off).

Hide AdNewcastle – who beat Crewe Alexandra 3-0 in York on Tuesday – take on Barnsley at the club’s training ground tomorrow. The club also has a game against Middlesbrough at Rockliffe Park on September 1.
United head coach Steve Bruce said: “Crewe played us at the training camp. Barnsley, Boro and Stoke will follow. So it’s a decent preparation, but very quick in terms of turnaround. We start in less than three weeks, and that’s quite unbelievable, but there you go – that’s what we’re up against.”
