After some confusion last week, which saw the game announced by Sky Sports, only to be reeled back in, has been signed off as a Good Friday game, kick-off 8pm.

A club statement reads: “Newcastle United’s Premier League home game against West Ham United will be played on Friday, 10th April.

“The match – originally scheduled for April 11 – was chosen for live broadcast in the UK last week, but further consultation with the authorities was required.

“No other games have been selected for live broadcast in the UK in April.

“However, next month’s game against Aston Villa (March 21) would be rearranged if Newcastle progress to the (FA Cup) quarter-finals, while a new date would be needed for United’s trip to Manchester City (April 18) should one or both sides reach the semi-finals.”
