Newcastle United are set to return to action on June 21 with a behind-closed-doors home game against Sheffield United. The club’s players, along with those at the 19 other top-flight clubs, have been tested for coronavirus twice weekly since they returned to training last month.

A total of 1,195 players and club staff were tested in screening sessions on Thursday and Friday – and they yielded the second all-clear.
