Newcastle United goalkeeper responds to questions about his future

Freddie Woodman says he’s focused on securing a play-off place for Swansea City – and not thinking about his future.

The highly-rated goalkeeper joined the Championship club on loan from Newcastle United last summer to get valuable first-team experience.

Woodman – who is under contract at St James’s Park until the summer of 2021 – has impressed at the Liberty Stadium, and Swansea are keen to keep him.

However, the 22-year-old – who has made penalty saves in the last two games – is just solely focused on the club’s 10 remaining league games.

"I’ve got 10 games left here at Swansea, and I’m going to enjoy every minute of it," the England Under-21 international told BBC Sport Wales. "I’ve done that for the last 36 games. I have enjoyed playing for this team, and this club, so I don't look any further ahead."
