Newcastle United are drawing 0-0 with AFC Bournemouth at half-time at St James' Park.
Eddie Howe made one change to the side that beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 last weekend with Callum Wilson dropping out due to injury and Harvey Barnes returning to the starting line-up for the first time since September.
Newcastle hadn't won a game at St James' Park in two months while Bournemouth were looking for their first Premier League win of 2024.
The opening stages of the match saw chances at both ends with Dominic Solanke twice coming close for The Cherries while Anthony Gordon had a good opportunity to break the deadlock for Newcastle with a header.
Newcastle's recent matches have been high scoring since the turn of the year but neither side were able to find the net in the opening 45 minutes as the sides went in at 0-0.
Here are the half-time player ratings from the match so far (ratings updated at full-time)...

9. Miguel Almiron - 5
Got more involved and found himself in some good areas. Fired a low shot wide of the left post in the build-up to half-time. Slipped through by Longstaff but opted to go himself instead of passing to Barnes as his shot blazed over the bar. Showed plenty of energy down the right but was wasteful at key moments. | Getty Images

10. Harvey Barnes - 6
Looked a threat at times down the left and has given Bournemouth something to think about when cutting inside. | Getty Images

11. Anthony Gordon - 7
Missed a huge opportunity early on with a header from Kieran Trippier's cross. Managed to get a couple of decent shots away. Held his never from the penalty spot to make it 1-1. Had a great chance to give Newcastle the lead but was caught in two minds. A mixed day in front of goal. | Getty Images

12. Jacob Murphy - 4
On for Barnes 68: Brought on in a central striker role. Newcastle conceded shortly after and found themselves on the back foot. Looked off the pace. | Getty Images
