The winger today joined Newcastle United on loan from Inter Milan.

Head coach Steve Bruce had hoped to start Lazaro against Oxford United at St James’s Park.

However, the paperwork on the Italian side of the deal was not completed in time for the 23-year-old to play in the fourth-round tie.

And Lazaro could now make his Newcastle debut in the February 1 home game against Norwich City.
