There are just three matches remaining for Newcastle United before the season breaks for the FIFA World Cup finals which means there are just five games to go before the January transfer window opens.

Eddie Howe’s side face Southampton at St Mary’s this Saturday as they look to build on last weekend’s excellent 4-0 win over Aston Villa at St James’ Park. They then face Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup third round and Chelsea before taking on Leicester City and Leeds United over the festive period. After that, it will once again be time to start buying and selling and getting the squad set for the second half of the campaign.
