The full-time review - Miles Starforth

Tim Krul has certainly had tougher afternoon's at St James's Park. Newcastle, again, just didn't look like scoring, and by the end they were hanging on. Norwich left the pitch wondering just how they hadn't scored. There's a lot that needs working on, but Bruce desperately needs Carrol, Gayle and Muto back fit.

Our man Miles Starforth's view on the opening 45

Newcastle are lacking ideas and imagination in possession at times. Joelinton should have done better with his first-half chances – he couldn't get on the end of one Ritchie cross and also had a header saved – and United had Fernandez to thank for a goal-saving challenge. A tough half and a tough game to call.
