Newcastle United rocked by huge injury blow

Dwight Gayle was forced off in yesterday’s 3-0 friendly win over Crewe Alexandra in York, and the striker, according to the Daily Telegraph, has suffered a worrying knee injury. Gayle, it’s reported, will have a scan this afternoon.
Speaking after the Crewe game, Bruce told NUFC TV: “Dwight's picked up a knock. We hope that's not too serious."

Gayle – who is in the final year of his contract at St James’s Park, missed a large part of the 2019/20 campaign with calf and hamstring injuries.
Joelinton, United’s £40million striker, has not yet been seen in training.
