Newcastle United scout Ivorian winger – but face Premier League competition for Le Mans man

Newcastle United are ‘regularly scouting’ Le Mans’ young Ivorian winger Stephane Diarra.

The 20-year-old wideman, formerly of Rennes and Evian, has impressed in Ligue 2 for the Maine outfit this campaign – and according to L’Equipe that has alerted United’s talent spotters to the player.

But Premier League rivals Leicester City and Celtic are also reportedly keeping tabs on the attacker.

Diarra, who also qualifies for France, has scored three goals and provided two assists in his 16 second tier games this campaign.
