Newcastle United star addresses his future as contract talks near conclusion
Paul Dummett wants to stay at Newcastle United, with his contract situation set to be resolved in the coming weeks.
The 29-year-old is in line to make his 200th appearance for his boyhood club against Sheffield United in front of supporters at St James’s Park on Wednesday.
Dummett, along with the likes of Federico Fernandez and Andy Carroll, is out-of-contract this summer, though the Magpies do hold an option to extend his current deal by a further year.

"I’ve been at the club for a long time now, so hopefully I can extend my stay and keep on creeping up with those appearances.”
