Newcastle United 'submit takeover paperwork' to Premier League
Newcastle United and Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund have submitted takeover paperwork to the Premier League, according to a report.
The Public Investment Fund (PIF) has been in talks over a takeover of the for-sale club.
And PIF chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan registered a new company with Companies House earlier this year.
The Daily Telegraph today claimed that paperwork over a sale was submitted to the Premier League last week by the would-be buyers AND the club.
Newcastle have made no comment.
