Having struggled for 10-15 minutes with the issue, Hayden eventually succumbed to the problem and was replaced by Algerian international Nabil Bentaleb.

Hayden was only recalled to the United XI today having lost his place to Bentaleb in the 4-1 Bournemouth win.

Allan Saint-Maximin and goalscorer Miguel Almiron also picked up knocks in the opening 45, but remain on the park.
