Newcastle United suffer nightmare injury blow in Saints clash  – one of two enforced changes

Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson was forced off with a suspected muscle injury in the first half of the Magpies’ clash with Southampton.

With the side leading 2-1 the 10-goal frontman overstretched trying to get a ball into the box and after some treatment was unable to continue.

Wilson was replaced by Joelinton on 36 minutes.

The Wilson blow comes just minutes after Javier Manquillo was replaced with what appeared to be an ankle problem. Emil Krafth replaced the Spaniard.
