Newcastle United takeover lawyer tweets intriguing link

Nick De Marco is representing the club and owner Mike Ashley, who wants to resurrect a £300million takeover.

De Marco has tweeted an intriguing link to the city’s well-know Mark Toney chain of ice cream parlours. The QC said: “A link with Newcastle and my family. The Marcantonio family, cousins of the De Marcos from Picinisco in Italy, settled their Italian ice cream business in Newcastle, and I’m glad to find it’s still there. Another place I must visit one day.”
