Newcastle United takeover & transfer news: Coutinho 'waiting' for Magpies, while international winger linked

The Brazil international will be allowed to leave the Nou Camp this summer, having failed to hit the heights he showed at Liverpool while with Barca, and on loan at Bayern Munich this season.

And according to Spanish football pundit and journalist Guillem Balague

“The consensus is that the Premier League will accept the bid and with that Newcastle will be in a new era,” said Balague on his Youtube channel.

“And Coutinho is waiting for that to happen. His representatives think Newcastle will make a play for him – and this is the type of player they can have. The biggest efforts of his representatives are towards the Premier League.”

Meanwhile, the Guardian are reporting that Newcastle United, Watford and Crystal Palace are keen to snap up Ryan Fraser on a free transfer from Bournemouth.
