Newcastle United takeover & transfer news: England defender eyed plus FA Cup third round draw details revealed

Newcastle United are reportedly eyeing a January move for Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori.

The 22-year-old centre-half, who made his England debut in 2019, is understood to be available for loan having found games for the Blues heard to come by since the arrival of Thiago Silva.

And, according, to the Northern Echo, Newcastle are one club who are keeping an eye on the player ahead of a potential January move.

Elsewhere, Newcastle United will be ball No.27 in tonight’s third round FA Cup draw.

The draw will take place at 7.10pm with the Magpies looking to emulate last season’s run to the quarter finals of the competition.

This season’s third round will take place on the weekend of Saturday, January 9 and Sunday, January 10.

The FA Cup draw will be shown live on BT Sport alongside their coverage of the second round tie between Canvey Island and Boreham Wood.
