Newcastle United takeover & transfer news: Spurs duo linked as Allan Saint-Maximin exit talks ramps up

Interest in Newcastle United star Allan Saint-Maximin continues to grow as the Frenchman lights up the Premier League post-lockdown.

The Magpies winger, signed for around £16.5million from Nice last summer, has been one of the top flight’s top performers during Project Restart – and his glittering form has drawn the advances of some Premier League admirers.

While PSG are reported to be taking a watching brief in the player, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be monitoring the situation.

And reports over the weekend suggest United could be offered the services of Danny Rose and Juan Foyth, on permanent contracts, to smooth over any potential deal.

Crystal Palace's French-born Ghanaian striker Jordan Ayew (L) vies with Newcastle United's English defender Danny Rose during the English Premier League football match between Crystal Palace and Newcastle United at Selhurst Park in south London on February 22, 2020.

Despite links over the weekend in the French press, Napoli, managed by former Rangers and AC Milan hardman Gennaro Gattuso, are not thought to be pursuing Saint-Maximin.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail claim Norwich City defender Ben Godfrey is a player on Bruce’s radar this summer.
