Newcastle United target addresses his future with Saudi takeover set to be announced

Reported Newcastle United target Luis Campos has addressed his future with the Magpies’ new owners-in-waiting eyeing a new football director as part of their St James’s Park revamp.

The Portuguese has worked as a scout for Real Madrid and as director of football at Monaco and Lille and is set to leave Ligue 1.

Former club Monaco and Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham are also monitoring his situation.

And speaking to Record, Campos revealed he is yet to receive an offer of employment, having confirmed he will exit Lille this summer.

“I have no contacts with any other clubs,” he said.

Meanwhile, another name linked with United in recent days has been Mexican international frontman Hirving Lozano.

A star of the Eredivisie with PSV and World Cup in 2018, Lozano has failed to make an impact with Napoli.

And Corriere Dello Sport report Tyneside is an option for Lozano, as well as Everton, in a deal worth around £45million.
