According to reports Spurs are lining up a January move for the player, who has scored 15 goals for Hull City this season.

United have been linked with Bowen since the summer – and Steve Bruce is a massive fan of the forward, who he signed for the Tigers from Hereford United.

The Magpies were priced out of a move for the player in the summer window, with Hull wanting recoup north of £20million for the 22-year-old.

Speaking about his future recently, Bowen said: "Like I've always said, I'm with Hull no matter what the interest.

"I think the interest just comes when you are doing well on the pitch, so I've just got to put it to the back of my mind, do what I'm good at on the pitch and everything else will take care of itself, I'm sure."

Bowen's current deal runs out in the summer, but Hull have the option to extend his contract.

Norwich City are also understood to be keeping tabs on the player.

Hull boss Grant McCann says it will take a substantial offer to prise Bowen away from the KCOM Stadium in January.

“I think the owners have stated he is not for sale unless there is a substantial offer,” he said.

“So we will continue to work with Jarrod and he loves it here and loves playing for Hull City.

“If he didn’t, you would not see these performances week-in, week out.”
