Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United credited with interest in Gabon international
Newcastle United are reportedly among the Premier League clubs keeping tabs on Hatayspor striker Aaron Boupendza.
Boupendza, a Gabon international, is currently top of the Turkish league’s scoring charts with 18 goals in just 28 appearances this campaign.
His form has caught the eye of several English clubs, including Steve Bruce’s Magpies – according to 90min.
Boupendza was close to joining Russian outfit Krasnodar recently, however the 24-year-old rejected the move with the hope of following in the footsteps of fellow countryman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the UK.
Newcastle, alongside Southampton, Tottenham, Leicester, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Brighton and Wolves, are all said to be monitoring the former Bordeaux man.
It is believed Hatayspor will only consider offers around the £8.5million mark, as recently confirmed by club president Dr Luftu Savas.
The Magpies could be two strikers light this summer with the future of Andy Carroll and Dwight Gayle yet to resolved, whose contracts expire this summer.
